In many traditions, regular one-on-one meetings with a guide or travelling companion are a natural part of the spiritual journey. In some traditions this is called spiritual direction or spiritual companioning. It offers a support which can be essential to the process of deepening spiritual understanding and experience, and to integrating these more fully into everyday life.
In line with these traditions, I offer one-on-one sessions, in person in Wellington, Aotearoa New Zealand, or online for those living further away. The sessions provide an opportunity to:-
You may find sessions like these particularly useful if any of these are true for you:
What I bring to sessions includes what I know from psychology about healing, development and growth. And what I know about the spiritual journey in general. This includes an appreciation that no two people have the same path to tread. Your path is seen as individual to you, unique and valid.
What I bring also includes what I know about the contemplative path in particular. The contemplative path has its foundation in the understanding that we as limited individuals are invited into a relationship with the infinite source of everything (which is called by many names, including: the Ultimate Reality, the Absolute, Brahman, God, Allah,…). That this relationship can blossom when we open up to it in silent, receptive practice. And that tending to this relationship both furthers our spiritual journey and is a key to a fulfilling life.
To support you in finding out if who I am and what I offer is a good fit for who you are and what would be helpful for you, you’re welcome to arrange a free half-hour meeting.
